Our 2018 character of Topeka calendars will be the beauty we need to see in ourselves. We are looking for images that represent the good within our community. Any artist, photographer, or designer is welcome to submit an image for our consideration of being a feature photo in the calendar.
January - Self-Control - considering consequences before making choices
February - Hospitality - cheerfully sharing food, shelter, and friendship with others
March - Perseverance -pushing through difficulties, even if it means unexpected sacrifice
April - Creativity - approaching a need, a task, or an idea from a new perspective
May - Optimism - finding and emphasizing the positive
June - Truthfulness - earning future trust by accurately reporting past facts
July - Responsibility - knowing and doing what is expected of me
August - Courage - confidence to say or do what is true, right and just
September - Empathy - showing consideration and understanding to heal the hurt of others
October - Respect - honoring others because of their worth as human beings
November - Enthusiasm - expressing joy in each task as I give it my best effort
December - Wisdom - seeing and responding to life situations from a perspective that transcends my current circumstances
You probably hear a lot about image, what it means for Topeka, and how people perceive us. You may have also heard the saying, find the positive in everything. We want to marry the two beliefs to help the character of Topeka beautifully bloom.
Entries must be uploaded to our website by November 1, 2017, to be considered.
Images must be of high-quality digital composition with a 300 dpi minimum.
Images will be printed on a white background and may include a black or process blue border.
The overall dimensions must not be larger than 7 inches tall and 10 inches wide
