Topeka City of Character is on a mission to make Kansas the leader in character development from birth to adult. We've already made an impact in schools and it's time to take to the streets in search of the best place to work, shop, or play. These organizations or businesses are role models in the way they conduct business and how employees are engaged in and out of the office. On September 14th, we recognized local businesses for exhibiting exemplary actions of character development through community leadership, initiative, and employee engagement, by holding high standards of integrity and accountability.
The finalists were:
Snapshot of Character (10 or fewer employees)
Family Picture of Character (11-50 employees)
STEVENSON COMPANY INC.
Panorama of Character (51+ employees)
Macro of Character (non-profit)
HARVESTERS - THE COMMUNITY FOOD NETWORK
It was our honor to recognize Barry Feaker with the Portrait of Character award. His role in making Topeka, a City of Character, his commitment to helping those in need, and leadership through integrity and accountability.
This award will be renamed in his honor as the Barry Feaker award.
